Welcome to The Dermis Project!

Our Mission: 

The Dermis Project (TDP) is a youth-led organization dedicated to expanding youth knowledge–specifically in the field of dermatology. The skin is the largest organ in the body, yet there is very little common knowledge about it. Therefore, TDP aims to educate the next generation of health leaders about not only what is happening under our skin, but also what is happening on it. 

 

Our Goals:

We hope to achieve our mission through three methods: 1) biweekly/weekly blog posts, 2) a monthly newsletter that works to expand our community and provide our community with educational opportunities, and 3) a seasonal journal that features dermatology research. Further, starting in Summer 2025, we hope to begin a summer research internship, where students from across the globe can write and publish their own, guided research projects with the help of our team.
